Edo FA Congress Dissolves Electoral Committee, Removes FA Secretary

Football in Edo State has taken a new turn with dissolutions and removals as the State Football Association convened on the 4th of October, 2023, at the Tivona Hotel and Suites in Benin City, as the board addressed the crucial matters affecting the elective congress, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.

The congress presided over by Dr. Aghedo Moses, the Acting Chairman of Edo FA, reached important resolutions aimed at resolving ongoing issues within the association which included the dissolution of the Edo FA Electoral Committee headed by Professor Darlington Obaseki and the Appeal Committee.

The board explained to the congress it decided to postpone the Edo FA Board Election due to concerns related to complicity and insecurity in the supposed date of the election.

The meeting also the removal of Tony Owens Uhwen as the Edo FA Secretary. A new substantive secretary was appointed in the person of Mr Andrew Ohwifo.

The meeting also saw an agreement to a reconstitution of new Electoral Committee and Appeal Committee in due Course.
