EDO SWAN Opens Camp With 8 Players, More Arrival on Monday

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Edo State Chapter’s football team has commenced its camping activities in preparation for the forthcoming friendly match against Benin Airport FC.

The camp, which opened today in Benin City, saw 8 players reporting for the first day of training, with more players expected to arrive on Monday.

The friendly match, scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 6, at the Benin Airport football pitch, is aimed at strengthening the bond between sports writers and the football community in Edo State.

Coach Joseph Isokpehi, the team’s handler, expressed optimism about the team’s preparation, saying, “We are delighted to have started the camp, and we are expecting more players to join us on Monday. We are working towards building a strong team, and we are confident that we will achieve our goals.

“The team will continue to train for the next few days, honing their skills and strategies ahead of the friendly match”.

Players in camp: Saliu Ibrahim, Harrison Omorodion, David Alabi, Precious Okueze, Stephen Odinaka, Musa Idahosa, Nosa Igunma and Israel Onyeka.
