The game started with both sides adopting a conservative approach, but City Rovers drew first blood with Usama Abdulsamiu’s beautifully taken shot from a freekick rebound. Police Machine equalised six minutes later through Goege Toyin, but City Rovers regained their advantage courtesy of Donald Yusuf, who scored with a well-taken shot, taking his side two goals up. Police Machine created fine chances which they couldn’t bury as the ball moved past the post with few inches on two occasions; after many attempts,, Idemu Victor scored for Police Machin,e, but it was ruled out. Chidozie Emmanuel scored the fourth goal to seal the 4-1 win for City Rovers FC.
Coach Nduibisi Peter of City Rovers expressed his delight with the win, saying, “It was an important game, and we worked hard and gave our best to win. He praised his entire team for their dedication and hard work.

The game was a balanced game from the kick-off, with goals from Sunday Sunny of Dynamo and Monday Emmanuel’s late goal for Elite FC, ending the match in a one-all draw. The match proceeded to penalties, where Elite FC emerged victorious with a 3-1 win.
Coach Obuku Samuel of Elite FC acknowledged his team’s poor first-half performance. “The performance in the first half was poor as we didn’t play our kind of football, but we made some changes which helped us. We never expected we would win through penalties. He also spoke on his next opponent, “Next round, we will play a tough opponent, a team I respect so much — Delight FC — and we will give it a good fight.”

Living voice FC 0-0 Assemblies Of God FC (Assemblies Of God FC wins PK 5-4)
The encounter ended in a goalless draw, with both teams struggling to find the back of the net despite numerous attempts. But Assemblies of God FC were able to scale through in the penalty shootout as they won 5-4
Coach Obehi Destiny of Assemblies Of God FC said his boys played against a good opponent, and it was a neutral and balanced game. Even if they lost a lot of chances to score during regular time, he was thankful that they got through via penalties.

Olowolo FC 0-1 Sports Family
The game looked like it was going to end goalless due to both teams not being clinical enough in the first half. The second half saw a stunning goal from Omorogie for Sports Family. Despite creating several other chances, Sports Family failed to score again as their slim lead was enough to secure them a 1-0 victory
Coach Jefferson Igbineweka of Sports Family expressed his happiness with the victory as he said, ” I’m very happy. I knew they were a very strong team, but we had to tactically manage and capture them in their comfort zone. He also spoke about the fact that he didn’t have a complete team, especially in the midfield, but he was able to convert some players to midfielders.
