Newly invited Super Falcons goalkeeper, Comfort Erhabor, has expressed gratitude and excitement after earning her maiden senior national team call-up, Platinum News is reporting.
Erhabor has been named in the 25-player squad assembled by head coach Justine Madugu for the upcoming international friendlies against the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon in Yaoundé. The fixtures form part of Nigeria’s build-up to the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The 20-year-old shot-stopper registered her excitement on her official X (formerly Twitter) page, writing: “An honour to have received my first senior call up, thank you Jesus.”
About Comfort Erhabor

At club level, she plays for Portsmouth F.C. Women in England’s Women’s Super League 2. She sharpened her skills in the academies of West Ham United F.C. Women and Brighton & Hove Albion F.C. Women, signing her first professional deal in early 2024.
To gain senior experience, she also had loan spells with Hibernian W.F.C. and Plymouth Argyle W.F.C..
2025/26 Season So Far
So far this season, Erhabor has recorded just over 90 minutes of league action for Portsmouth. In one of her appearances, she completed a full match, picked up a booking, and delivered a steady performance as she continues to compete for more regular minutes.

Despite limited game time, her steady development and exposure in England’s competitive second tier have kept her on the radar of the national team selectors.
Her invitation is expected to strengthen Nigeria’s goalkeeping options, where she will compete alongside established names such as captain Chiamaka Nnadozie and other invited goalkeepers (Fatima Oloko and Mgbechi Amderline) in camp.
For Erhabor, the call-up represents a significant career milestone and an opportunity to stake a claim for a place in the squad ahead of major tournaments.
