India 2022: Flamingos suffers defeat against Fenerbache Feminine


Nigeria Under-17 women’s team understandably lost to a better Fenerbache Feminine side on Tuesday evening as the Flamingos wrapped up their test games ahead of the FIFA U-17 women’s world cup billed for India.


The Flamingos who conquered Galatasaray Women over the weekend, were unable to replicate such as they lost 3-1 in Turkey. Etim Edidong scored the only goal for Nigeria in the 90th minute.


The Flamingos on Monday, 26th September began a 10-day training camp in Turkey, and are expected to jet off for India from Istanbul on 6th October for the World Cup.


Nigeria’s first match of the campaign is against Germany in Goa on Tuesday, 11th October, starting at 8 pm India time (4 pm Nigeria time). The Flamingos will then square up to New Zealand on Friday, 14 October also in Goa, before flying to Bhubaneswar to take on Chile on Monday, 17th October.
