English Championship Side, Watford FC will be without Nigeria centre back, William Troost-Ekong for up to two weeks, the club has announced.
The Nigeria international suffered a hamstring injury while representing the Super Eagles in a friendly fixture against the Algeria CHAN team (home-based players).
Watford FC on Friday provided an update on Troost-Ekong’s fitness on their official website.
“William Troost-Ekong was forced off the pitch with a hamstring injury whilst representing Nigeria last week, and is aiming for a mid-October return,” reads the statement on the club’s website.
This comes as a blow to the Hornets who in the week announced the appointment of the former Croatia international after the sacking of Rob Edwards as the manager of the team.
Watford will play against Stoke City on Sunday in the English Championship.
