The maiden edition of the Platinum Cup Scouting Tournament has received a huge endorsement and support from a top football talent manager in Edo State and Chairman of the IvyLife Diagnostic Centre, Mr Roland Inonoje.
The club owner’s endorsement came on the heel of confidence placed in the tournament’s publicity and interest from clubs numbering 25 who have shown interest in participating in the tournament as well as the trust placed in the organizers of the competition.
The Chairman of Rolly Football Academy while receiving the organizers led by the publisher of Platinum News, Mansa Adeleke Ayoola, Chairman local organising committee, Kennedy Ugbodaga and Director of Finance, Platinum News, Sharon Ekhiwere, in his office during a courtesy visit expressed his delight at the formation of the scouting tournament which will expose budding talents to the world of champions.
According to him, his confidence in the organizers is high and he will be praying for them to excel.
“Thank you for coming up with a tournament like this, this will serve as a complementary tournament to the ones we have already in the state, but I believe that you will put up a good tournament which will give a run for other tournaments’ money.”
The Chairman of Irex Bar and Football Club meanwhile promised to donate the cash prize for the tournament as a way of showing his support for the tournament.
The publisher, Platinum News meanwhile presented the company’s jersey manufactured by Owu Sports Wear to the Bet9ja Super Agent in Edo State as a courtesy gesture from the company.
While presenting the jersey, Mansa Ayoola thanked Mr Roland for his contributions to the development of football talents and football games generally in Edo State. He expressed his excitement at how unflinching the love the gentleman has for football towers high.
“I’m always taken aback to ruminate on your love for football and how you care less of how much you spend regardless of the return on the young boys in the state, you are a pillar of football in this Ovia North East as a whole.”
Mr Roland Inonoje meanwhile is on the list of the Platinum News maiden awardees list; the award presentation will take place on the final day of the tournament.
