Lobi Stars has appointed former Super Eagles player, Daniel Amokachi as new head coach.
The appointment was made public on Sunday after Eugene Agagbe was relieved of his duties as coach of the side after a poor start to the season.
It has been a slow start to the season for the Pride of Benue. They have four points out of a possible 15 points after securing their first victory of the season on Saturday against Shooting Stars at the Lafia City Stadium.
After securing a point in match day one, it was back to back losses as Enyimba, Rivers United and Katsina United all took maximum points from the Benue side.
Former assistant coach of the Super Eagles, Amokachi is an experienced coach who have managed Nigeria Premier Football League clubs like Enyimba, Ifeanyi Ubah and Nasarawa United.
With his wealth of coaching experience in the NPFL, the fans of Lobi Stars will be hoping to see the positive changes in their side’s performance in the next few games.
Debull as he is popular known, joins his 94 Super Eagles team mate Finidi George in the NPFL, who is the currently the head coach of Rivers United.
