The Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has issued a public notice inviting reputable, competent, and highly qualified Chartered Accounting firms to apply as the new auditor of the Federation.
This move comes on the heels of the successful completion of PriceWaterhouseCoopers’ (PwC) two-term tenure as the Federation’s auditor.
PwC’s exit aligns with the gazetted regulation that no auditing firm may serve more than two consecutive terms in that capacity. The NFF Executive Committee stated that adherence to this rule reflects its commitment to due process, accountability, and continuous improvement in financial oversight.

The committee, in its Wednesday, December 10 meeting, applauded the ongoing process for appointing a new Independent Auditor for the Federation, marking a key step in strengthening transparency and good governance within Nigerian football administration.
The Committee expressed satisfaction with how the selection framework has been structured, noting that the transparent recruitment of a new auditor will further solidify stakeholder confidence in the Federation’s operations.
With the application window now open, the NFF is expected to announce the shortlisted firms in the coming weeks as the transition to a new audit partner progresses.
