Nigerian International Rita Chikwelu has moved to Saudi Arabian Women’s Club Al Shabab from Spanish outfit Levante Las Planas.
The 35-year-old had spent one season at Levante with only eight league appearances, though started her football career at Akwa Starlets before the switch to Finish club FC United in 2006.
The former Umea IK and Kristianstad player was exempted from the Super Falcons of Nigeria squad to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
She has 15 goals in 33 appearances for the women’s national team and had earlier joined Levante from another Spanish club Madrid CFF in 2022.
