In preparation for the forthcoming 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier League season, newly promoted side Katsina United has introduced a new coach to helm the team’s technical leadership.
Following a well-considered decision by the club’s management, coach Usman Abdallah’s contract, which concluded at the end of the previous season, was not extended.
Abdallah had successfully steered the team’s resurgence back into the Premier League, following a season spent in the lower division.
On Thursday, the team’s administration officially declared coach Tony Bolus as the team’s new technical adviser. Bolus was previously associated with MFM FC of Lagos and most recently with Yobe Desert Stars.
The 51-year-old former MFM FC last had a coaching assignment with NNL side, Vandrezzer FC and will bring his over 19 years of professional coaching experience and has managed Giwa FC and MFM FC in the Nigeria Professional Football League
