The sad news of the passing on of the former NUGA and SEUGA President Mr Emeka Ogba in November shook the South East to its foundation, leaving many sorrowful and uncertain of what the future holds for the association.
After the demise of Mr Ogba, The South East University Games Council however thought it wise to appoint Abia State University Director of Sports, Dr. Obiukwu Felix as the new president ahead of the forthcoming Southeast University Games (SEUGA) slated for the University of Akwa (UNIZIK) in January 2024.
Obiukwu’s wealth of experience and humongous contribution which speak volumes are part of the few considerations which informed the good decision of the Council to appoint him as the president.
Speaking at the 11th meeting of SEUGA, the president said that all hands must be on deck with action, and collective effort for futuristic results ahead of the games slated to be held by January 2024 at UNIZIK.
Dr Felix is an Abia state-born Sports Administrator with 18 years of experience covering sports events locally and internationally. He’s a sports manager and a renowned Licensed agent with various programs initiated under his leadership and supervision.
