Timi Giant Football Club of Ede, Ede North Football Club and twenty-eight other clubs have been paired in groups as the rebranded Osun State Football Association leagues kick off in 2024.
The 30 clubs after being cleared by the Osun State Football Association to participate in the 2023/2024 season, were divided into four groups for the season kick-off billed for the first quarters of 2024.
Secretary to the Osun FA, Mr. Amoo Abayomi, in a statement said the groupings of the teams are to minimize travelling by the participants.
Mr. Abayomi who asserted that the security of players, good playing pitches, and television friendly grounds are some of the variables that will determine the selections of the venues, said the locations to host the four groups will be announced in due time.
In the furtherance push of the Association to have a formidable and enjoyable league, the state’s football boss, Sola Fanawopo has engaged Data-Tech partner (LXDORE) and streaming company, BlackdrumTV, for the development of players’ profile/data and live streaming of games.
