…Congress Says Award in Recognition of Dep Gov’s Promotion of Workers’ Welfare
Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu has been nominated by the national leadership of the Trade Union Congress, TUC as the recipient of its Meritorious Service Award 2022.
In a letter conveying the Award and endorsed by TUC Secretary General, Comrade Nuhu Toro, reads:
“We convey compliments from the National Headquarters of the Trade Union Congress, TUC, particularly President of Congress, Comrade Engr. Festus Osifo and write on behalf of the National Executive Council, NEC to notify you of your nomination for conferment of Meritorious Service Award 2022”.
“This Award is in recognition of your antecedents and outstanding contributions towards the promotion of workers’ rights and improvement of the welfare of workers in Nigeria, as well as being a major source of inspiration to workers”, Nuhu Toro added.
The Award will be conferred on the Deputy Governor at the TUC Dinner and Award night, scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 29, 2023, by 7.00 pm. The venue is the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
