…assures govt’s intervention over parish road
Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu, Monday morning joined parishioners of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Benin City, for the twin-babies dedication of Dr. Tony Aziegbemhi, Edo State’s Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Chairman.
In his remarks, the Deputy Governor assured parishioners of the Edo State Government’s intervention in rehabilitating the road leading to the church so as to alleviate the sufferings of residents and parishioners in the area.
Shaibu appreciated the Parish Priest, Very Rev. Fr. Alfred Agbonlahor for his diligence and commitment to the Lord’s vineyard.
Delivering his homily, Ven. Rev. Fr. Agbonlahor said the day being the feast of the great saint and patroness of missions, the feast of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, also known as St. Theresa of Lisieux, was “a reminder to all to entrust ourselves to the Lord and to follow Him faithfully”.
He added: love God and walk in His path”.
The highlight of the early morning service was the dedication of the twin babies and thanksgiving offerings by family members, friends and political associates of the Aziegbemhis.
