Promising young striker Joshua Akhimen Agbonkhese has officially joined Czech club MFK Karviná, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.
The 18-year-old, who celebrated his birthday on February 14th, has been on trial with the team for over three weeks and was officially registered last Friday.
Agbonkhese, a talented prolific forward, features for the club’s Under-19 team in the Tydenní Plan U19 League, which kicked off last Saturday. Despite his youth team assignment, he is also eligible to play for the senior team and the Team B. Joshua has already made an impact with the U19 team, registering an assist in his team’s 2-2 draw SK Prostejov on Saturday.
With an impressive debut appearance, he played the next day, scoring a brace in MFK Karvina B 4-2 victory over Horni Socha. His goal sealed the team’s victory.
Before his move to the Czech Republic, Agbonkhese last played with Shavik FC in Benin City. He also featured for Dynamo Academica and Worshippers FC through whose platform he sealed the move. During that time he netted an impressive 93 goals in 113 appearances across various age-grade tournaments.
