Nigerian Champions, Delta Queens are set to face off against fellow Ghanaian champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies in the final of the WAFU B Qualifiers for the Women Champions League at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City by 3 pm.

At this tourney, Delta Queens have demonstrated their attacking lethal force, netting an impressive 8 goals while conceding only three on their journey to the final match.

Their campaign started with a resounding 3-0 victory over USFA, leaving no doubt about their intentions. A subsequent encounter against Sam Nelly culminated in a 2-0 triumph, solidifying their position as formidable contenders. The semi-finals bore witness to a gripping clash as the Delta Queens overcame an early setback, orchestrating a remarkable comeback that saw an entertaining 3-2 victory after 120 minutes of intense action.

On the other side of the field, Ampem Darkoa Ladies from Ghana have been strong on all fronts, amassing an astonishing 13 goals across three games—an astonishing average of 3.25 goals per game. While their attacking strength is undeniable, their vulnerability in defence, conceding four goals, remains a cause for concern as they approach the final without a clean sheet to their name.

The stage for this decisive encounter is set at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 3 pm Nigerian time.

Beyond the glory of clinching the WAFU B Champions League title, the winner of the clash earns the privilege of representing WAFU Zone B in the CAF Women’s Champions League main tournament slated to take place in Ivory Coast from November 5 to November 19.

This will mark the third edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League.
