Leicester City coach, Brendan Rodgers has provided a positive fitness update on Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi ahead of the English Premier League game in week nine.
The Nigeria international left the national team camp over a suspected hamstring injury which was confirmed by the coach of the Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro. However, it is rumoured the 25-year-old had left over disputed role assignments.
Ahead of Leicester’s late Monday night clash against fellow strugglers, Nottingham Forest, the Foxes boss has revealed, Wilfred Ndidi may be available for the game.
In a statement on the club’s official website , the return of the midfielder who has played as a center back for Leicester City this season, was confirmed.
“We had Wilfred Ndidi come back early,” Rodgers confirmed on Friday. “He’s looking really positive and trained this morning so hopefully he will be fine.” The statement read.
