Captain of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, Wilfred Ndidi has assures Nigerians of the team’s preparedness ahead of ge FIFA World Cup Qualifiers match between Nigeria and South Africa, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.

Nigeria will host the Bafana Bafana of South Africa at the Godswill Akpabio stadium in Uyo on Friday by 8pm Nigeria time. Speaking during the pre-match press conference on Thursday, Ndidi was fully assured of the team’s readiness and what they need to do

“Everyone is prepared, the feeling in camp is amazing because everyone is back together now, and the team is complete, so I think the feeling is just one direction.

“We know what we want to do, we know what we expect, it’s just how we approach the game and we will see what comes out of it.”

When questioned on competition within the midfield with the presence of Raphael Onyedika, Frank Onyeka and Alhassan Yusuf, Ndidi plaved the team over individual wants.

“I’m really impressed and when you talk about competition, for me as a player, the team comes first, so, I’m not in competition with any player. The most important thing is what the team is doing, the national team is ‘soldier go soldier come’ all the players given the chance to play should do their best.”

Nigeria failed to qualify for the last world cup held in Qatar. This presents another opportunity for the Super Eagles to fly the Green and White at USA, Mexico and Canada in 2026.
