Ahead of the 2024 African Games qualifiers billed to be held in Lagos from the 4th to the 8th of January, the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) has released the final list of players that will represent Nigeria for both the senior men’s and women’s national teams, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.
It was reported days ago by www.aclsports.com that 37 players made up of 19 men and 18 women were invited to the team camp based at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium (ABS) in Kaduna State for training to commence ahead of the qualifiers.With the qualifiers just around the corner, the Federation released the final squad list of players for both men and women teams on Wednesday. The list comprises of 12 players a two coaches for each of the categories.

According to www.aclsports.com , the final list for the women national team ncludes : Ijeoma Ukpabi (Captain), Sharon Achi, Aliyah Usman, Maryam Ibrahim, Mirabel Onyegwu, Happy Wushilang, Blessing Unekwe, Deborah Chukwu, Ifunanya Udeagbala, Kelechi Ndukauba, Albertina Francis and Jummai Bitrus.
For the men, the final team includes: Moses Gana (Captain), Bruno Ibe, Elisha Anebi, Victor Ezekiel, Uche Okereafor, Lucky Farouq, Mayowa Bello, Emmanuel Udah, Seiyefa Dikiyai, Prince Anyasodike, Dauda Saje and Afun Idowu.
The men’s team will be handled by Musa Baba-Musa (Coach) and Taiwo Oladipupo (assistant Coach) while the women’s team will be handled by Samuel Ajayi (Coach) and Ezechukwu Oguamalam (assistant Coach).
