Singida Black Stars’ center-back, Tanimu Benjamin, has expressed confidence ahead of their crucial Tanzania FA Cup quarterfinal clash with Mashujaa FC.
In a pre-match interview, Benjamin spoke on the team’s preparations and ambitions, reiterating their determination to progress to the finals and win the trophy for their supporters.
“We are fully prepared as a team because we understand the significance of this match. Our ultimate goal is to reach the final,” Benjamin stated.
He also extended his gratitude towards the fans for their support and voiced the team’s intention to secure victory, especially after the disappointment of their last encounter with Mashujaa FC, where the game ended in a draw due to a late equalizer by the opposition at the 74th minute.
Reflecting on the past and looking forward, Benjamin told newsmen the challenges of every match, explaining that the approach to the game is crucial for winning.
Despite a recent loss in the league to Azam FC, he remains optimistic about their performance in the upcoming match.
“All matches are difficult, but it’s how you approach the games that determine the outcome. Although we lost our last game, we have made significant improvements in training, thanks to our coaches,” he added.
Singida Black Stars is set to face Mashujaa FC in the CRDB Federation Cup on Wednesday, May 1.
