All is set for week 5 of the Yucateco Boxing League Season 2 as boxers converge on the heart of the Osun state capital, Osogbo. The event, slated for Friday, the 6th of September, at the Nelson Mandela Freedom Park, will have 48 boxers in the squared ropes in 24 bouts.
The second season of the widely followed boxing league, which commenced in Lagos in August, has completed over one hundred bouts after four exciting weeks of action.
As the YBL train moves from Lagos to Osun state in week 5, the initiator of the event and Chairman CEO of Yucateco boxing promotions, Omonlei Yakubu Imadu, has called on residents of Osogbo and its environs to turn out in their numbers and enjoy the best of amateur boxing and other side attractions.

Boxers participating in the league are paid weekly allowances as well as other incentives. The most valuable boxer in each weight category will also receive the sum of 2 Million naira at the end of the season.
Twelve boxing clubs are competing for the grand prize of N50 Million in Season 2 of the Yucateco boxing league.
