Barau Football Club of Kano continue its restructuring process ahead of the 2026/27 football season with the club’s General Manager, Dominic Iorfa, confirming the retention of some members of the technical, administrative, and backroom staff, as well as the disengagement of some others.
In a press release made available on the club’s official Facebook page, the club says the move is part of a reorganisation that is ongoing to improve the club’s structure and ensure a successful campaign in the new season.
Retained in the technical department are Technical Adviser, Eugene Agagbe; Chief Coach, Madu Muhammad; Goalkeeper Trainer, Dahiru Dalhatu; and Fitness Trainer, Sirajo Mukhtar.
Administratively, the Club Secretary continues to serve, along with all six members of the media unit.
Other retained officials include TMS manager, Umar Lawan Yusuf; Club Doctor, Sani Idris; Masseur, Nafi’u Usman; Curator 1, Ibrahim Sani; Curator 2, Abubakar Shehu and Chief Security Officer, Idris Musa Abubakar.
The club also announced that it will keep its four drivers in the same capacities. In making the announcement, the management showed its gratitude to the staff concerned with the restructuring.
The statement said that all staff members who had been affected during their time at the club had given their dedication, commitment and valuable contributions and these had contributed to the growth and development of the club.
The club instructed all those affected persons to hand over all Club property, documents and equipment to the Club Secretary by or before 4th July, 2026.
Barau FC additionally revealed that the appointment of other key roles, such as Coordinator, Sporting Director, Technical Director and Welfare Officer will take place “in due course” as part of the restructuring process.
