In separate goodwill messages, both players encouraged football enthusiasts, stakeholders, and the general public to support the league, expressing confidence that it would contribute significantly to the growth of grassroots football.
Speaking from his Cardiz base in Spain, Efe Aghama said the maiden edition of the Edo Elite Super League represents the beginning of something special and has the potential to become a major force in football development within Edo State.
He congratulated the teams taking part in the competition and wished them success throughout the tournament, at the same time charging those not involved to be a part of it next season.
