For the Junior D’Tigress, Sunday’s showdown is about much more than continental supremacy—it is an opportunity for sweet revenge. Mali currently stands as the benchmark in African U18 women’s basketball and defeated Nigeria 76-56 in the 2024 final in Pretoria. As Mali chases a third consecutive AfroBasket title, a highly confident and determined Nigerian side—empowered by their Federation’s solid backing—stands firmly in their way, ready to reclaim the crown.
