Monday Odigie declined to rule out further signings for Bendel Insurance during the mid-season, insisting the club needs “fortification” to return stronger.
The Benin Arsenal remains the only unbeaten team in the top flight of Nigerian football, winning seven and drawing two games so far.
Speaking to the boss at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium after a comfortable victory over the 2004 CAF Champions League winners, Enyimba, Monday Odigie hinted that the club needs reinforcement.
“…if possible bring in some new fortifications because that is what the league is going on break, for teams to go back and return stronger.
We hope to find one or more players who can join us to fight for what is obtainable in the league.”
When the Insurance boss was asked about the possibility of winning the league, he responded the team is only focused on the next game.
“We are taking our games one at a time,” Odigie told the press.
