The Nigerian national U20 team, Flying Eagles have secured their place in the Quarter-finals at the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Egypt.

The Flying Eagles finish second in group A and advanced to the next stage of the competition after defeating Mozambique with two first-half strikes from Samson Lawal and Ibrahim Beji Muhammad in the 33rd and 41st minute respectively.
This comes after their victory over Egypt by a lone goal and having failed to start the competition on a strong foot as they lost to Senegal who finished top of the group with 9 points.
