Tobi Amusan sets new record, wins Wanda Diamond League!

Nigerian Queen of track and world record holder, Tobi Amusan has again sparked the sports scene with a record-setting performance at the Wanda Diamond League, Poland, Sunday evening.

Amusan beat the United States of America duo, Kendra Harrison and Ali Nia to win the women’s 100m Hurdles at the Silesa Stadiu, Chorzó, in Poland.

Setting a new Meeting Record and her season’s best, the current world champion raced to 12.34 seconds to beat her opponents – by a whisker – Harrison Kendra who 12.34 and Ali Nia at 12.38 to come third.

The 26-year-old weeks ago defeated Sarah Avalanche of Ireland, who finished second in 12.73 seconds, while Pia Skrzyszowska of Poland claimed the third spot in 12.78 seconds to win the Stockholm Diamond League with an impressive time of 12.52 seconds.

The Commonwealth Games champion will defend her title at the World Athletics Championship later this year in Budapest.
