Nottingham Forest football club has decided to permit Nigerian striker, Emmanuel Dennis to continue his trade elsewhere this summer amid interest from the newly-relegated Championship side, Leeds United, according to Football Insider.
Emmanuel Dennis completed a move to the City Ground for a £20million transfer fee from Watford last summer following an astounding 2021/22 campaign with the Hornets – (10 goals and 6 assists in 33 Premier League appearances) but could not keep them yet another season in the English top-flight division.
The 25-year-old Nigeria striker has since struggled to replicate the same impressive form in the last campaign with his new club. According to exclusive reports by Football Insider, it was said that Leeds United are considering a bid to sign him in this transfer window.
Although, the Premier League side is ready to get him off their books to fortify their attack and also cut down on a bloated squad going into the new season.
The 25-year-old has scored twice and assisted three times in all 25 appearances in Nottingham Forest shirt since his move in 2022 with an existing contract till June 2026.
The former Club Brugge front man started just nine of those outings, with the likes of Taiwo Awoniyi, Brennan Johnson and Andre Ayew all ahead in Steve Cooper’s attacking arsenal.
However, Leeds are still interested in his services as they tend to reinforce their squad to secure promotion back to the Premier League.
