Nigeria forward Asisat Oshoala has noticeably expressed a keen impression about her football career and to what expectations she has of herself as a player whenever on the field.
She, in an interview with BBC Sport Africa, noted that there is definitely a handful of young girls around the continent who idols her legacy, therefore, seeing herself mirrored and aspired is something she holds wholeheartedly and duly represented by.
“There are a whole lot of kids out there in Africa who actually look up to me, that like me, and want to be like me. Just keep doing what I’m thing, because you don’t know who you’re inspiring out there.”
The 28-year-old FC Barcelona Femininé attacker, however, said that she is never under any pressure to giving her very best when called upon, while commenting on the fact that football is fun, and should be meticulously participated in.
“I’m just out there to do my job, I’m about my business. That’s why I always say when I play games, I just want to have fun. I want to score goals.”
The five-time African Women’s Player of the Year, also said that there is no doubts to what she can do with the ball, even in occasions when players find it difficult to perform exceedingly in biggest stadia with an outflowing number of spectators.
“When I step my foot on the pitch, I don’t really think about the crowd any longer. Some people say they get nervous when the crowd is too much, but for me, it is different.”
With such uncommon instances constantly changing and bringing new beautiful sets of development in the game these days, most especially, to strongly promote and encourage women’s football.
