Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) FC, FWC Champions, Henserd FC, and Edel FC have suffered relegation from the Nigeria National League (NNL) to the Nationwide League One (NLO).
The demotion of all four teams was confirmed on Thursday after a series of matches saw the relegation playoffs come to an end.
Sokoto United and Adamawa United successfully maintained their NNL status by progressing from group A, Smart City FC and Ikorodu City FC also secured their positions in the league.
For ABS, they suffered defeat in their final match of the NNL relegation playoff. FWC Champions emerged victorious with a score of 2-1 in the match held at the Sanni Abacha Stadium in Kano.
ABS FC faced a challenging playoff, failing to secure a single victory. The team drew 1-1 in their initial match against Adamawa United and subsequently suffered a 2-1 loss to Sokoto United in their second encounter.
It has been downhill for ABS FC since the 2016-17 season when the Ilorin-based club was relegated from the top division. The club initially earned promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League during the 2009-10 season.
