In what is tagged as a peaceful and productive running of Nigerian football in the last 345 days, Nigeria Football Federation President, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau has received a vote of confidence as the Federation’s Principal from Congress at the body’s 79th Annual General Assembly.
The event which took place in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, saw Gusau who was elected into office as the 40th President of the Federation and successor to Amaju Pinnick in 2022 by the 78th elective congress of the Nigeria Football Federation, notified of the motion proposed by the NFF’s legislative aim to continue fostering the growth and development seen in Nigeria’s football in his tenure.
The former Zamfara State FA boss in his welcome address during the meeting, appreciated the Congress for the confidence reposed in him and the members of the Executive Committee at the last elections, while promising to further take the sport to even greater heights, and also urged for the tremendous support of stakeholders towards the demands of the game of football.
Gusau, who since he assumed leadership has so far been able to steady the football sinking ship a bit amid mishaps and controversies in the overall administration, has managed to successfully win the hearts of the members of the NFF Congress to remain in office regardless, would have so much to put into right perspectives, especially, in the dilapidation of the overview of Nigeria football sceneries.
Ibrahim Gusau has three more years to serve in office as the NFF supremo and would pray that he continues to come up with goal-driven initiatives and projects as well as get the full support of the Congress while in office.
