Shaibu Felicitates With Muslim Faithful @ Eid-el-Maulud

…urges prayers for the present administration in Edo to finish well, and strong.

Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt Hon Comrade Philip Shaibu has felicitated with Muslim faithful in Nigeria, particularly their counterparts in Edo State on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Maulud.

Eid-el-Maulud is an annual event, celebrated by Muslims all over the world, in commemoration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.

In his message personally signed by him, the Deputy Governor stated:

“It is my honour and privilege to heartily felicitate with Muslim faithful in Nigeria, particularly their Edo counterparts as they join their Muslim brothers and sisters in celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Maulud”.

“I am delighted to note that this auspicious occasion in commemoration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, has become a global event for adherents of Islam”.

“At the moment, our dear country, Nigeria is going through a critical phase in its development as a nation of multi-ethnic and multi-religious people with diverse traditional and cultural identities”.

“Though, tribe and tongue may differ, permit me to admonish our Muslim brothers and sisters to imbibe the virtues of love, tolerance, sacrifice and mutual co-existence as exhibited by the Holy Prophet”.

“More than ever before, we should reflect as a people bound together by God and destiny in our collective quest at fulfilling the dreams of our founding fathers”.

“As a state, may l enjoin our people, Muslims, Christians and practitioners of other religions not to relent in praying for the peace and progress of our dear state”.

“Also, let us continue to pray for the present administration, under the leadership of our purposeful Governor, Mr. Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki, for the administration to end well and finish strong”.

“Once again, l congratulate all Muslim faithful in Nigeria and Edo State”, Shaibu added.
