Head Coach of Edo Queens, Moses Aduku has blamed the weather as to why his team found it hard to score in the opening stages of their 3-1 victory over Ekiti Queens in matchday 4 of the Nigeria Women Football League Premiership, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.
Edo Queens defeated newly-promoted Ekiti Queens 3-1 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Wednesday evening. All thanks to Glory Osaghae who netted a hat trick in her first start for Edo Queens this season. OSaghae scored in the 44th, 49th and 82nd minute of the game for the Benin based team.
Speaking with the media after the match, Moses aduku explained that the hot weather contributed to his team scoring late despite dominating possession at the start of the game.
“The weather affected us. We play our games by 6pm. Despite the fact we trained for this game around this time severally, the weather played a role. This is an unusual time to to play for the girls. The weather is part of it and we will get through it.” Moses Aduku said.
