Deputy Governor of Edo State, Rt Hon Comrade Philip Shaibu, has commiserated with the family of Rt. Hon. Ghali Umar Na’Abba over the passing of their son.
The deceased who hailed from Kano State, was elected into the House of Representatives in 1999 and later emerged second Speaker of the lower chamber of the National Assembly in the present 4th republic.
The Deputy Governor in a personally signed condolence message, stated: “I am deeply saddened by the shocking news of the passing of Hon Ghali Na’ Abba, former Speaker of the House of Representatives”.
“He lived a pious and exemplary life, dedicated to the patriotic service of Nigeria, our dear country and humanity in general”.
“Hon Ghali Na’ Abba was a distinguished parliamentarian whose stewardship as the number one legislator in the green chamber of the National Assembly, provided stability, cohesion across party lines and indeed, mutual collaboration with the executive arm of government”.
“He was an exemplar of a refined and progressive politician who meant well for his people while advancing the noble ideals of a better Nigeria for the good of the majority”.
“I condole with the government and good people of Kano State, as well as the bereaved family members, loved ones, political associates and friends on the colossal loss of a great patriot of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”.
“May his gentle soul find eternal rest in the bosom of Almighty Allah, the most magnificent and benevolent”, Shaibu added.
