Super Eagles Head Coach, José Peseiro has reportedly drafted in Alhassan Yusuf, a talented midfielder who plays for Royal Antwerp in the Belgian Pro League as a replacement for Wilfred Ndidi who is doubtful with an injury, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.
Sadly, Ndidi who missed Leicester City’s 4-1 dubbing of Huddersfield Town on New Year’s Day, according to reports has now been ruled out of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast due to the injury. Yusuf, who was on the provisional 41-man list has now been called on to fill the void in the Super Eagles’ midfield in Africa’s biggest sports event.
The 23-year-old sensation is yet to record a single appearance for the three-time African champions and is now expected to link up with the delegation of players in camp in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on Wednesday (today).
