Abia Warriors Coach Attributes Loss to Poor Road Conditions

Abia Warriors’ head coach, Erasmus Onuh, has blamed the challenging state of Nigeria’s road network as a contributing factor to his team’s loss against Kwara United in matchday two of the Nigeria Premier Football League, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.

Onuh made this observation while addressing journalists in Ilorin following his team’s 1-0 defeat to Kwara United.

The coach emphasized the urgent need for Nigerian league clubs to consider prioritizing air travel for their teams to avoid the adverse effects of poor road conditions on their performance.

Onuh stated, “Bad roads will have a detrimental impact on our league. I believe it’s high time we began arranging flights for our teams. We arrived in Ilorin at 5 am this morning, and the stress of the journey significantly affected us.”

He described the journey as challenging and noted that they had been on the road for an extended period due to the poor road conditions. In light of this experience, Onuh stressed the importance of exploring alternative travel options, such as air travel, to ensure the well-being and performance of league teams.

Abia Warriors will host Kano Pillars in their next game at home before embarking on another journey to face Lobi Stars.
