Super Eagles Head Coach, José Peseiro was pictured with his crew of technocrats at the Nigeria men’s senior national team training base in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on Tuesday night in preparation for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.
The 63-year-old Portuguese was said to have arrived in Abu Dhabi in the company of his assistants moments ago. Meanwhile, a delegation of players and officials of the team had earlier jetted out of Abuja on Tuesday afternoon.
Amongst the players were Ahmed Musa who is said to captain the 25-man team in the biennial tournament, Kenneth Omeruo and the only home-based and Enyimba Int’l FC goalkeeper, Olorunleke Ojo who flew out from the Federal Capital Territory. However, some of them also took off from Lagos.
The three-time African champions will start full preparations for the competition at their training camp on Wednesday and will spend a week in the Middle East. Then, en route to Abidjan where they are expected to arrive on Wednesday, January 10 for the 2023 AFCON finals.
