Ardova2023: Lagos Teams Triumph as Kano Pillars Undeperform On Day

Lagos Seasiders Boys emerged victorious overĀ  Benue Buffaloes 31-24 at the Rowe Park Sports Center on day 1 of the Handball Premier League Phase two, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.

Another Lagos team, Tojemarine Academy  scrambled for victory after defeating Safety Shooters 28-25 at the NIS Indoor Sports Hall. However, defending champions, Kano Pillars maintained their poor run in the season as they lost to Rima Strikers of Sokoto 23-27. This comes after a disappointing first phase in Benin City, Edo State.

Other matches in the male category, Confluence Stars defeat D.Defenders 24-18, Niger United defeated correction Boys 30-22 to extend their lead on the league table while Bendel Dynamos continue to sitbottom of the league table after loosing to Police Machine 25-23.

In the female category, defending champions Safety Babes maintain fine form as the escaped with a 27-26 victory over Defender Babes, Rima Queens outscoring Bayelsa in a 30-21 win, Benue Queens defeated Delta Queens 19-18 while Seasider Babes of Lagos defeated Bendel Dynamos 25-24.

Plateau Peacocks and Imo Grasshoppers shared spoils in a 22-22 draw match.
