To open the goalscoring party, UBTH Staff team found the back of the net in the 21st minute from a header by Musa. By the 39th minute, Musa doubled the lead for UBTH.

With the second half underway, UBTH scored the third goal of the day but Benin Recreational Club were able to score a consolation goal. For both sides, they were reduced to 10 men as the centre refree brandished a red card to players of both sides.
