Edo FA pause football activities in honour of Late Kindness Ohiowele

The Edo State Football Association has announced the suspension of all football matches and tournaments across the state for 24 hours on Tuesday, February 11, in honour of the late Deacon Kindness Ohiowele, the former Vice Chairman of the association.

This decision comes as part of the activities marking the one-year remembrance of the late football administrator, who played an important role in the development of the sport in Edo State.

According to an official statement from the Edo FA, the only exception to the suspension will be a memorial match in his honour, scheduled to take place at Arinze Primary School. Regular football activities will resume across the state on Wednesday, February 12.

The association expressed appreciation to all clubs, officials, and stakeholders for their cooperation as the state pays tribute to Ohiowele’s legacy and contributions to Edo football.
