Lucky Alexander shone like a star in the sky as his team, Edo State Sports Commission pipped the Ministry of Physical Planning Wednesday to book the maiden Edo State Head of Service football tournament.
The Sports Boys after many toiling and wasted opportunities found the back of the net a few minutes before the end of the first half when Lucky Alexander found a rebounded free kick, he wasted no time to hit it hard j to the back of the net.
The Yussuf Alli boys restarted the second half with their lead and before their opponent could execute their plan, got the second goal courtesy of Lucky Alexander, in the same fashion as of the first.
The team was in search of more goals to put the game to rest as they pegged back their helpless opponents with incessant attacks.
While the Ogbemudia Stadium landlords kept pushing for the third, their opponent caught them on the loss to get one back, but late on the team couldn’t get the needed equalizer to force penalty shootouts.
With the win, the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium landlords will face the Government House team in a mouth-watering final encounter at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.
The final will take place on the 18th of December immediately after the third-placed match between the Ministry of Physical Planning and EdoSubeb.
