Edo Queens have officially booked their place in the 2022/2023 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Super Six tournament after a 4-0 victory over Ibom Angels on Wednesday evening in Benin City.
The party started early at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium with Godwin Eunice opening the merriness for the host in the second minute.
The 13th minute saw an error from Ibom Angels Friday Esther, which resulted in an own goal. The third goal came in the 28th minute courtesy of Suliat Abideen’s solo run. And in minute 34, Yetunde Fajobi made it four from 18 yards out as the game ended that way to secure Coach Moses Adukwu’s seventh win.
The victory at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium sealed Edo Queens’ place in the NWFL Super Six with 23 goals, the highest scored by any team this season.
