Edo Queens Unveils Amarachukwu Onuorah

Benin-based women’s football team, Edo Queens, has made a significant signing for the upcoming Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership season.

The Edo State-owned team have secured the talents of Amarachukwu Onuorah, who previously played as a forward for Sunshine Queens. The announcement came through the club’s official Twitter account on Tuesday afternoon.

The addition of Amarachukwu Onuorah is expected to bolster Edo Queens’ attacking prowess, adding depth and skill to their frontline. This move comes after the team’s mixed performance during the NWFL Super Six in Asaba, where they faced defeats against Confluence Queens and settled for a goalless draw against Delta Queens.

Looking ahead to the new season, Coach Moses Adukwu is taking proactive steps in the transfer market to strengthen his squad. However, the exact kick-off date for the NWFL is yet to be confirmed.

With this key signing and Coach Adukwu’s strategic approach to building a formidable team, Edo Queens are hopeful of making a strong impact in the 2023/24 campaign of the NWFL Premiership.
