Ekpo Rally Round For CHAN Eagles’ Early Preparation

Ex-Nigerian international Friday Ekpo has called on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to flag off an immediate preparation of the Home Eagles ahead of the 8th edition of African Nations Championship (CHAN) that will be co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda starting from Saturday, February 1 to Friday, February 28, 2025.

Having secured a spot in the group stages of the tournament after edging past West African counterparts Black Galaxies of Ghana 3-1 on aggregate, the Nigerian contingent are making a comeback in the biennial competition for the first time in six year since a humiliating 4-0 loss in the final to hosts Morocco.

Ekpo, in an exclusive chat with Compleetsports.com, stated that with early preparation, the Home Eagles will have a better outing on the continent.

“I am very optimistic that the Home Based Eagles will excel at the tournament going by their victory over Black Galaxies of Ghana in the qualifying series.

However, I will encourage the NFF to commence early preparation for the team so that they can prepare adequately and put all the tactics in place.”
