The Italian-based side US Salernitana has secured the services of Nigerian striker Chukwubuikem Ikwuemesi on a four-year deal from Slovenian side NK Celje.
The Serie A outfit announced the 22-year-old signee via their Twitter handle on Friday after putting pen to paper until the summer of 2027.
Before his move to Italy, he had one goal in two league games for his former Slovenian club, although, scored 9 goals in 30 appearances last campaign while also helping them finish second in the 10-team Slovenian league last season which saw them booked a UEFA Europa Conference League qualification spot.
The promising young talent who was part of the Ladan Bosso-led Flying Eagles squad at the 2020 WAFU B U-20 tournament in Togo, will have more to do in helping his new club side which ended in 15th position in the Italian top-flight division last season.
