Magical Blazing Blessing Ezeh of Vision High School, Nnewi, stunned fans and supporters at season 3 of the MTN Champs by claiming two gold medals in Shot put and discus in the Youth (under 17) category, platinunnewsng.com is reporting
Blessing, who on Thursday during day one at the University of Benin Sports Complex threw 10.56 metres to claim gold in the shot put finals, also threw 25.53 metres on Friday to double the golds in the discus girls’ final.
Blessing who last year at Season Two of the MTN Champs in Asaba won Gold in female Discus and a bronze medal in the shot put was obviously elated to have improved her performance
She went on to point out the influence of her school in her achievement today, also hailing her school coach, Bakam Alpha Godwin, for his support and encouragement.
She also talked about the encouragement she received from her mum, and her mum has been pushing her to train and do well in the sport.
Also for Vision High School was Favour Obiefuna, who won silver in the long jump for girls, and Victor Emmanuel Okenwa Victor, who won Gold in the discus boys final and silver in the shot put final.
Mary Chioma Edeh and Obiefuna Favour won Gold and silver, respectively, in the triple jump final.
