Top officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have been extended an invitation to participate in a peace parley by the House Committee on Sports.
This development aims to address recent disunity within the NFF, striving to restore harmony and foster a renewed policy direction.
In an official statement released by the Media Team of Honourable Ekene Adams Abubakar, Chairman of the House Committee on Sports, the need for cooperation, unity, and a sense of belonging was emphasized. The invitation is driven by a desire to mend the image of the NFF, which has suffered due to internal discord, impacting its reputation on both domestic and international stages.
The statement articulates the intention to create a common ground for mutual understanding and tranquillity within the NFF. It highlights the aspiration to position the NFF as a symbol of peace and excellence within Nigeria and across the African continent.
The meeting is scheduled to convene on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at 11:00 am. The venue for this significant discourse is Suite 2.31, House of Representatives Wing, located within the National Assembly Complex in Abuja.
