NFF President Clarifies Peseiro Place at the Super Eagles

Amidst mounting speculation and reports in local media of a managerless Super Eagles, the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) President, Ibrahim Gusau, has shed light on the future of Portuguese tactician Jose Peseiro.

In a statement, Gusau emphasized the pivotal role of the Technical Committee in guiding the decision-making process.

“I cannot say Peseiro will continue as the Super Eagles coach; we have a Technical Committee, and we have to listen to their recommendation,” Gusau stated.

As excitement builds among football enthusiasts, Gusau expressed optimism that the eventual decision will elicit satisfaction from Nigerians nationwide.

“We are discussing with Peseiro and his lawyers, and we hope to conclude with him soon,” the NFF President revealed, hinting at ongoing negotiations to determine the coach’s fate.

Although the Super Eagles have booked a place at the next Africa Cup of Nations slated atomhood in Ivory Coast next January, the Super Eagles will have to play the last qualifying game next month against Sao Tome and Principe at the Godswill Akpabio stadium.
