Remo Stars striker, Sikiru Alimi has taken to social media platform, X to call on the Nigeria Premier Football League board for approving the Dan Anyiam Stadium for Heartland games, platinumnewsng.com is reporting.
On X, there have been a video circulating showing the poor state of the Dan Anyiam Stadium, with some portions of the pitch sandy as many has described it as a beach soccer pitch.
Reacting to the same video, Alimi reposted quoting the tweet as he said, “People wey approve this thing suppose collect 100 strokes of cane each,then stay jail for like 5years.”
Many coaches who have played on the pitch has also complained of the pitch quality as portions of the pitch is without grass.
Heartland will host Remo Stars in matchday 16 of the NPFL on Thursday by 4pm.
